The work lamp is meant to mimic the classic form of the mid 60’s desk lamp that was so popular. I chose wood and concrete as materials to contrast the metal form the original lamp was made of.
It’s shape is meant to be playful...yet functional. Almost like an animated version of what the simplistic 60’s lamp would look like if it appeared on the desk of a character in a PIXAR film.

it has a movement of 360 degrees and allows the user to adjust the lamp to suit their specific task.
the vintage brass push button was painted to patch the cord, however, paint started to scratch off on the friction points
